I think the reason prospects relate so much pain to network marketing a lot of times is because traditionally network marketers have not learned how to market.  They have been taught to harass friends and family...who are not the target market.  Over time I think that this is one of the biggest reasons why the industry has a somewhat skewed image to the masses.  But then again, who cares about the masses...we are only looking for 3%-ers anyway:)
