Smart Goal Setting For Your Network Marketing Business
In order to start producing results, you have to first understand exactly what it is that you want and need. The sad truth is that if people do not start seeing results within the first 90 days of doing business, they will quit or move on to another opportunity. Hoping for the next opportunity to be a quick fix. People come in this industry with large expectations and that will only lead to disaster.
Now, I’m not saying that it’s wrong to think BIG as long as it is realistic. For example, do not think that because a business says that you are going to make $10,000 a month within the next 90 days that it’s going to happen. Because it’s not. Sorry to disappoint you. That is unrealistic for the average new person in this industry.
Understand that network marketing is not a get rich quick scheme. It’s a real business that must be nurtured before the fruits of your labor begins to grow. And that starts with proper goal setting.
So, when we talk about smart goal setting, you have to set realistic goals and have a certain attitude to create success which ultimately is the ‘magic formula’. In addition, you have to learn how to be optimistic which anyone can learn to be an optimist. You just have to put forth the effort and start implementing a smart goal setting plan into your daily routine.
A goal is a plan of action….clear and defined! Without a plan you just have a wish. Remember, there is a difference between a goal and a wish. A wish is something that you are hoping for. A goal is something that you aim for. But how do you get there? Very simple; just plan what you are going to do today, tomorrow and next week…PERIOD!
So remember…The way you get meaning into your life is to devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your community around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning.

It is so true that people have unrealistic expectations and are looking for the quick and easy path to riches. That is why they fall victim to these over-hyped sales messages that exploit this attitude that has been created by the microwave ‘gotta have it now’ society that exists today.

Interesting concept – always surprised by how upset people become when they’re not successful – and yet, haven’t set any concrete goals.
I think the distinction between goal and hope (though obvious to most people in the definition) isn’t something that people consciously consider when they enter into an internet marketing endeavor.
Recently, I read an interesting case study about goal setting failures- if the client had what you’ve suggested in mind, it could have been avoided (the expanded bill, and frustrations). Check it out – funny how people enter into this business

It is common for people in the MLM industry to start something and not see it through. It is sad but true. Many people get discouraged. Many questions come to mind.
